Beware of Email and Text Bombing Scams

Criminals are using a new trick called “Email and Text Bombing” to hide fraud. They may send hundreds of emails or text messages in a short time to overwhelm their target. While the victim is distracted by the flood of messages, the fraudsters will try to access their accounts to make unauthorized withdrawals, transfers, and/or purchases.

If you suddenly receive a large number of unexpected emails or text messages:

  • Don't ignore them.
  • Check your bank, credit card, and online accounts for suspicious activity.
  • Review any fraud alerts or security notifications from companies you do business with.
  • Change your passwords if you believe an account may have been compromised.
  • Contact TruGrocer (and any other financial institutions you may use) immediately if you notice unauthorized transactions.

Staying alert and responding quickly can help prevent financial losses. If you believe you've been targeted by a scam, report it to us here at TruGrocer as soon as possible by calling our Toll Free 24HR Assistance at 1-855-320-6460.
