security of personal financial information is a concern to our members. We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of our members’
personal financial information and to ensuring the accuracy of such information.
We collect and maintain information about our members to enable us to provide
products and services to meet member needs and to satisfy legal requirements.
We use member personal financial information for legitimate credit union
business purposes only, and in a manner consistent with banking practices and in
compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Personal financial information is only released in response to a lawful
request issued by a court, government agency, or regulatory authority with
jurisdiction to make the request.
We keep your personal financial information in the strictest confidence and we
maintain systems, policies and procedures to protect your personal information
from being accessed by unauthorized persons.
Credit Unions have always had strict provisions in their bylaws, as
dictated by the National Credit Union Administration, about member privacy and
our philosophy has always been to collect personal financial information only to
conduct credit union business. Employees
are trained to adhere to strict policies and procedures regarding member
confidentiality.
There have been many articles lately related to consumer
privacy issues. These articles generally focus on the Internet, although
privacy issues span a much larger area. The TruGrocer Federal Credit Union’s web site is not designed to
collect personally identifying data on site visitors. If you choose to e-mail us, please remember that your e-mail address and
any other information contained in your e-mail header will be revealed to us in
the e-mail. We will use that e-mail information to respond to your comments and/or questions.
Your e-mail address will not be sold or shared with any outside party
unless we are required to do so by law.
In
some cases, we do use third party vendors to help us offer related financial
products and services to our members. Example would be the company that prints member statements or the company that prints
your personal share drafts (checks). These companies have agreed to maintain the same strict confidentiality that we
employ.

a top priority of TruGrocer Federal Credit Union. We are required

products and services to meet your financial needs, which necessitates
that we share information about you to complete your transactions and to
provide you with certain financial opportunities. In order to do so, we

If you terminate your membership
with TruGrocer Federal Credit Union, we will not share information we have
collected about you, except as permitted or required by law.

those employees who need to know that information to provide products or
services to you. Our employees are trained in the importance of
maintaining confidentiality and member privacy. We maintain physical,
