Direct Deposit and Automatic Payments
Direct
Deposit: For pure efficiency, nothing beats payroll deduction as a
means of putting money into your savings account and/or depositing your net
paycheck into your checking account. And
no matter where you work, you may be able to enjoy direct deposit.
Contact your employer’s payroll department to see if direct deposit is
available through the Automated Clearing House (ACH).
If so, you can authorize your employer to send a specific amount or your
net paycheck for deposit into your credit union account. Automatic
Payment:
Any method of simplifying your regular bill payment process can be very helpful.
Many merchants will originate an automatic electronic payment directly
from your account at your request. The Credit Union’s Bill Payer service allows you to originate the
payment yourself verses and an ACH payment that is done by the
merchant. Setting up Direct Deposit and/or Automatic Payments: Use the account number shown on your statement for access to your savings account, and use the account number as shown at the bottom of your share drafts (checks) for access to your checking account. The Credit Union’s routing & transit number/ABA is 3241-7246-5 and also will be needed to direct the deposit or payment to the Credit Union and your account. If you are requesting a direct deposit or payment to your share draft (checking) account, it is a good idea to provide a voided check.
